Universal rules

  1. 01When something goes wrong — copy the error, paste it into Claude, ask what it means.
  2. 02Two terminal tabs at all times — Tab 1 = Claude Code, Tab 2 = dev server.
  3. 03You are responsible, not Claude. Always review changes before they go live.
  4. 04Push and commit to GitHub after every task — every push is a restore point.

Daily use

Continue an existing project

  1. 1

Open a terminal in your project folder

Either right-click the folder → Services → New Ghostty window here. Or open terminal manually and cd in.

  2. 2

    Start Claude Code (Tab 1)

  3. 3

Open a second tab and start the dev server (Tab 2)

Cmd + T to open a new tab. cd into the project, then run the dev server.

  4. 4

    Open localhost in your browser

  5. 5

Resume a previous Claude Code conversation (optional)

Picks up where you left off last time with the same context and memory of what you were working on. Useful for multi-day work where you want continuity. Skip it if you're starting a fresh task.

  6. 6

When you're done — push your changes

Tell Claude to commit and push everything to GitHub. Every push is a restore point.
